For Impact & Moderate Abrasion | Machinable Weld Deposit | No Redrying Required
A rutile-coated air-hardening MMA electrode formulated for buildup and wear-facing applications subject to impact and moderate abrasion. Produces a machinable weld metal with 37–40 HRc hardness, making it suitable for shafts, rollers, wheels, sprockets, and general rebuild jobs. Weld metal contains chromium-manganese alloy for durability under shock loading.

- Store in sealed containers to avoid moisture pickup
- Re-drying if needed: 100–110 °C for 30 minutes

Low Carbon. Crack-Resistant. Versatile.
A rutile-basic coated stainless steel electrode, E308L-16 is designed for welding austenitic 18/8 Cr-Ni stainless steels. With a low carbon core wire (308LER) and optimized ferrite (~8%), it offers maximum crack resistance, smooth arc characteristics, and superior corrosion resistance. The electrode produces soft fusion with minimal spatter, excellent slag detachability, and aesthetically clean weld beads. Suitable for use at service temperatures from -120°C to +350°C.
