StarBlaze Prime 309LMo
AWS A5.4: E309LMo-16 | DIN EN ISO 3581-A: E 23 12 2 LR 12
Rutile Coated | Mo-Alloyed | Cracking and Corrosion Resistant
StarBlaze Prime 309LMo is a low carbon rutile-basic type stainless steel electrode alloyed with 23Cr, 13Ni, and 2.5Mo, containing 15–25% ferrite in the weld metal. It is designed for welding AISI 309 and 316L stainless steels, and for dissimilar joints between stainless and mild steels. Commonly used as a buffer layer before 316L cladding or as a universal electrode in maintenance jobs, it offers smooth arc behavior, self-peeling slag, and excellent resistance to cracking, oxidation, and corrosion.
