Rutile Coated | Martensitic | Abrasion & Pitting Resistant
StarBlaze Prime 410NiMo-16 is a rutile basic coated MMA electrode formulated for welding martensitic stainless steels and cast steels containing Cr-Ni-Mo. It delivers a weld deposit with excellent corrosion, erosion, and pitting resistance, particularly in aggressive environments. Suitable for components subjected to high wear and thermal cycles, where ductility is restored through post-weld heat treatment.

- Stress relieving recommended at 610°C/hr (air or 1 hr hold)
- Maintain interpass temperature control for ductility
- Redrying at 280–300°C for 1 hour (max 3 times) if exposed to moisture
- Ideal for cladding or joining martensitic stainless steels with Cr 12%, Ni 4.6%, Mo 0.5%

A rutile-basic coated stainless steel electrode, E308L-16 is designed for welding austenitic 18/8 Cr-Ni stainless steels. With a low carbon core wire (308LER) and optimized ferrite (~8%), it offers maximum crack resistance, smooth arc characteristics, and superior corrosion resistance. The electrode produces soft fusion with minimal spatter, excellent slag detachability, and aesthetically clean weld beads. Suitable for use at service temperatures from -120°C to +350°C.
