AWS A5.9: ER 316L | EN 12072: S 19 12 3 L StarBlaze SAW 316L is an extra low carbon stainless steel welding wire designed for Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) applications. With a 19Cr/12Ni/3Mo composition, it offers excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion, stress cracking, and creep, making it ideal for high-temperature environments up to 850°C. The weld metal maintains ferrite content between 4–8% and provides superior mechanical strength and toughness. The wire is coated with a specialised anti-spatter reagent blend (including dichloromethane and methylene chloride) for enhanced feedability and clean welds.- Diameters: 2.00 mm, 2.40 mm, 3.20 mm, 4.00 mm
