StarBlaze MIG 309 is a solid stainless steel MIG wire with a high-carbon 25Cr/12Ni composition, suitable for welding AISI 309 and dissimilar steels, including carbon steel to stainless steel joints. It is also used for buffer layers and buttering applications in 18Cr/8Ni steels. The wire offers excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance in continuous service temperatures up to 300°C. Precision layer winding ensures smooth feeding and reliable arc performance across all welding positions.

With a balanced Cr/Ni composition (20Cr/9Ni) and controlled ferrite between 5–10%, it ensures excellent corrosion resistance and reliable mechanical performance. The wire is specially processed with anti-spatter silicone and ester coating for improved feedability and arc stability. Precision layer winding ensures smooth feeding, while its cast/helix control ensures ideal "pay-off" during use. Widely used in food processing, chemical industries, and boiler or piping fabrication.

It deposits a Cr-Ni-Mn alloyed weld metal (C-18Cr8Ni6Mn) and delivers excellent arc stability with a smooth bead appearance. Especially suited for welding dissimilar steels, including unalloyed to austenitic stainless, and hard-to-weld materials like ballistic and armour-grade steels. Compatible with short, spray, or pulsed arc welding using Ar+O₂ or Ar+CO₂ gas blends.
