Rutile Coated | Mo-Alloyed Austenitic | Corrosion and Heat Resistant
StarBlaze Prime 316 is a rutile-basic coated stainless steel electrode alloyed with Mo for enhanced corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. With approximately 5–8% ferrite in the deposit and coating designed for low moisture pickup (LMA Type), it offers clean slag removal, smooth arc characteristics, and excellent weld appearance. Suitable for welding and cladding of 316/316Ti stainless steels in tanks, pipelines, and pressure systems operating between -120°C and +400°C.

A rutile-basic coated stainless steel electrode, E308L-16 is designed for welding austenitic 18/8 Cr-Ni stainless steels. With a low carbon core wire (308LER) and optimized ferrite (~8%), it offers maximum crack resistance, smooth arc characteristics, and superior corrosion resistance. The electrode produces soft fusion with minimal spatter, excellent slag detachability, and aesthetically clean weld beads. Suitable for use at service temperatures from -120°C to +350°C.
