Basic Coated | Mo-Alloyed Austenitic | Low Carbon for Cryogenic and Corrosive Applications
StarBlaze Prime 316L-15 is a low carbon, basic-coated stainless steel electrode alloyed with Mo and designed for welding and cladding of Cr-Ni-Mo austenitic stainless steels and plates. It produces high-quality, low-hydrogen welds with smooth bead appearance, soft arc, and excellent slag detachability. The low carbon content (<0.03%) minimizes the risk of intergranular corrosion, making it suitable for both cryogenic and elevated temperature service from -196°C to +400°C.
