StarBlaze Prime 385
AWS A5.4: E385-16 | DIN EN ISO 3581-A: E 20 25 5 Cu N L R 12
Rutile Basic | Austenitic | Cu–Mo Alloyed | Acid-Resistant & Stress Corrosion Resistant
StarBlaze Prime 385 is a rutile-basic coated electrode designed for welding fully austenitic, highly corrosion-resistant stainless steels such as 904L and B6. It offers excellent weldability in all positions with a stable arc and smooth slag detachment. The weld metal is resistant to chloride-induced stress corrosion and attacks from phosphoric and sulphuric acids due to its high Mo, Cu, and Ni content. Weld bead appearance is finely rippled and low spatter.
