Superior Weldability, Radiographic Quality Welds, Excellent Impact Toughness
A rutile type medium coated electrode designed for welding large structures and process pipework in shipbuilding and construction industries where precise fit-ups are difficult to achieve. StarBlaze PRIME 6013 (MOD) provides superior weldability, a very soft arc, minimum spatter, smooth finely rippled weld beads, and excellent slag detachability. The electrode formulation promotes a forceful arc that ensures sound fusion and remains tolerant to welding current variations commonly encountered under site conditions. It delivers excellent impact notch toughness at 0°C and produces radiographic quality welds.
