For 2.25Cr–1Mo Steels | High-Temp Stability | PWHT-Compatible Alloy Welds
A basic coated, low hydrogen Cr-Mo alloyed electrode engineered for welding creep-resistant and high-pressure hydrogen service steels—especially those used in boilers, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers. Delivers stable arc control and low spatter, producing clean, high-strength welds with excellent mechanical reliability up to 600°C in service. Ideal for 10CrMo9-10/11CrMo9-10 joints and overlay surfacing.

- For optimal performance, preheat and interpass control is essential
- Base materials include:
• ASTM A335 Gr. P22
• ASTM 387 Gr. 22
• EN 10028-2: 10CrMo9-10, 11CrMo9-10
• EN 10213-2: G 17 CrMo 9-10 - PWHT: 690°C / 1 hour typical
- Tempering: Minimum 0.5 hr at 700°C, air cooled
- Annealing: 0.5 hr at 930–950°C, then cooled in air and tempered at 700°C
- Recommended for creep resistance in long-cycle high-temp environments

Low Carbon. Crack-Resistant. Versatile.
A rutile-basic coated stainless steel electrode, E308L-16 is designed for welding austenitic 18/8 Cr-Ni stainless steels. With a low carbon core wire (308LER) and optimized ferrite (~8%), it offers maximum crack resistance, smooth arc characteristics, and superior corrosion resistance. The electrode produces soft fusion with minimal spatter, excellent slag detachability, and aesthetically clean weld beads. Suitable for use at service temperatures from -120°C to +350°C.
