Superior Moisture Resistance, High Strength Steel Welding, Excellent Crack Resistance
A low hydrogen, moisture-resistant basic coated electrode specially designed for welding high tensile and fine-grained structural steels. StarBlaze PRIME 9018-G (MOD) provides excellent weldability in all positions with outstanding crack resistance and superior low-temperature toughness. The weld metal contains approximately 0.40% molybdenum and 1.00% nickel, making it suitable for welding 16Mo3 and similar alloy steels. It is widely used in earthmoving equipment, boilers, power plant construction, oil refineries, penstocks, and HSLA steel fabrication where high strength and reliability are essential.
