StarBlaze TIG 385
AWS A5.9: ER 385 | EN ISO 14343-A: W 20 25 5 Cu L
StarBlaze TIG 385 is a W 20 25 5 Cu L / ER385 type solid TIG welding rod depositing a 20Cr25Ni5Mo weld metal, suitable for use mainly with Ar shielding gas. StarBlaze TIG 385 is used for the welding of ASTM 316 or similar steels when a ferrite-free weld metal is required. It is primarily used in cryogenic and non-magnetic applications and delivers excellent impact toughness at low temperatures. It is also suitable for welding 904L to ASTM 304 and 316. StarBlaze TIG 385 offers very good resistance to general, pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion cracking.

AWS A5.9: ER 347 | EN 12072: 19 9 Nb StarBlaze SAW 347 is a niobium-stabilised stainless steel wire designed for Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) of austenitic stainless steels such as AISI 321 and 347. With a 19Cr/9Ni composition, this wire resists intergranular corrosion by minimising chromium carbide precipitation, thanks to niobium content (Nb ≥ 10×C). It is suitable for fabrication work in industries exposed to corrosive environments at service temperatures below 400°C, and is also used in cryogenic applications. A specialised anti-spatter reagent coating ensures smooth feeding and clean welds in high-deposition SAW processes.

AWS A5.9: ER 316L | EN 12072: S 19 12 3 L StarBlaze SAW 316L is an extra low carbon stainless steel welding wire designed for Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) applications. With a 19Cr/12Ni/3Mo composition, it offers excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion, stress cracking, and creep, making it ideal for high-temperature environments up to 850°C. The weld metal maintains ferrite content between 4–8% and provides superior mechanical strength and toughness. The wire is coated with a specialised anti-spatter reagent blend (including dichloromethane and methylene chloride) for enhanced feedability and clean welds.
