Superior Weldability, Low Hydrogen, Radiographic Quality
A hydrogen-controlled iron powder basic heavy-coated MMA electrode designed for crack-resistant, reliable welds on unalloyed and low-alloy steels. StarBlaze 7018 (SPL) offers superior weldability, ultra-smooth weld bead appearance, self-releasing slag, very low spatter levels, and excellent toughness properties at low temperatures. Ideal for structural engineering, shipbuilding, bridges, boilers, tanks, and heavy fabrication, it produces radiographic quality welds, including demanding out-of-position and pipe welding applications. Recommended for service temperatures down to -40°C.

A rutile-basic coated stainless steel electrode, E308L-16 is designed for welding austenitic 18/8 Cr-Ni stainless steels. With a low carbon core wire (308LER) and optimized ferrite (~8%), it offers maximum crack resistance, smooth arc characteristics, and superior corrosion resistance. The electrode produces soft fusion with minimal spatter, excellent slag detachability, and aesthetically clean weld beads. Suitable for use at service temperatures from -120°C to +350°C.
