STARBLAZE PRIME 7016 A1
AWS A5.5: E 7016-A1 | EN 1599: E Mo B 42 H5
Low Hydrogen, Crack Resistant, Excellent for 0.50% Mo Steels
A basic coated low hydrogen electrode designed for producing tough, crack-free welded joints on carbon-manganese and low alloy steels. StarBlaze PRIME 7016-A1 deposits approximately 0.50% molybdenum in the weld metal, making it particularly suitable for welding 16Mo3 and similar creep-resistant steels. The electrode provides excellent positional welding characteristics, ultra-smooth finely rippled weld beads, low diffusible hydrogen levels below 4 ml/100g, and excellent mechanical properties. It is especially suitable for root joints, pipe welding, and applications requiring reliable creep strength up to 525°C.
