Superior Corrosion Resistance, Weathering Steel Welding, Low Hydrogen Performance
A specially designed low hydrogen, moisture-resistant basic coated electrode with chromium, nickel, and copper alloy additions for welding weathering and corrosion-resistant structural steels. StarBlaze PRIME 7018 W1 provides excellent weldability in all positions, easy slag removal, finely rippled smooth weld beads, and radiographic quality weld deposits. Designed specifically for weathering steel applications such as CORTEN® steels and their equivalents, it delivers excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance while maintaining superior mechanical properties and low diffusible hydrogen levels.
