High Strength Steel Welding, Low Hydrogen Performance, Excellent Low Temperature Toughness
A basic coated iron powder low hydrogen electrode specially designed for welding fully killed fine grain high-strength steels. StarBlaze PRIME 9018 D1 produces smooth finely rippled weld beads with excellent resistance to cracking and superior low-temperature toughness down to -50°C. The electrode is ideally suited for critical fabrication applications involving high-strength steels, castings, penstocks, earthmoving equipment, and heavily restrained structures. It delivers radiographic quality weld deposits with low diffusible hydrogen levels and outstanding mechanical properties for demanding structural applications.
