Ferritic Stainless Steel Welding, Stable Arc, Excellent Weld Appearance
A rutile-basic type 17% chromium MMA electrode specially designed for welding 15–17% chromium ferritic stainless steels such as AISI 430 and similar steel castings. StarBlaze PRIME 430 delivers a stable and strong arc, low spatter levels, self-peeling slag, finely rippled weld beads, and excellent striking and restriking characteristics. It is ideal for fabrication and maintenance of ferritic stainless steel components where corrosion resistance, weld appearance, and ease of operation are important. Preheating and stress-relieving treatments are recommended to achieve optimum ductility and mechanical properties. Supplied in vacuum-packed packaging for enhanced storage stability and welding performance.

Re-dry electrodes at 300–350°C for 1 hour if necessary
