Monel Alloy Welding, Seawater Corrosion Resistance, Universal Repair Electrode
A specially designed basic coated nickel-copper alloy electrode for welding and surfacing Monel alloys, Monel clad steels, and dissimilar metal combinations. StarBlaze PRIME NiCu7 provides a smooth and forceful arc, excellent mechanical properties, and porosity-free weld deposits. The weld metal offers outstanding resistance to seawater, salts, and reducing acids, making it ideal for marine, offshore, chemical processing, and desalination applications. It is also highly suitable for joining Monel alloys to carbon steels, low alloy steels, copper alloys, and copper-nickel alloys. The weld deposit maintains excellent toughness and corrosion resistance across a wide service temperature range from -196°C to +450°C.

Preheat sections above 25 mm thickness
Maintain a short arc length during welding
Clean slag thoroughly between passes
Allow slow cooling to room temperature
Keep dry and avoid condensation
Re-dry at 350°C for 1–2 hours if necessary (maximum 3 cycles)
